Basics of electronics ERASMUS>ELE18
This course builds core competency in analysing, designing and testing simple analogue electronic circuits. Students explore the structure, operating principles and characteristics of fundamental semiconductor devices (diodes, bipolar and field-effect transistors, operational amplifiers, opto-devices, thyristors and others), learn standard design methods, and verify circuit behaviour through simulation and laboratory measurements. The programme combines lectures, problem-solving sessions, projects and lab work so that graduates can select components from catalogues, model and document circuits, and critically assess their performance.
Intended learning outcomes:
- Student describes the construction, operating principle, properties and characteristic curves of basic electronic components.
- Student identifies typical applications of these components in selected analogue circuits.
- Student explains methods for designing simple electronic circuits.
- Student outlines techniques for analysing circuits and carrying out laboratory investigations of their components and systems.
- Student converts tabulated measurement data into graphical characteristics of electronic elements.
- Student evaluates the operation of simple analogue circuits on the basis of their schematics and component properties.
- Student designs straightforward electronic circuits using manufacturers’ catalogues.
- Student analyses and tests simple electronic circuits.
- Student demonstrates diligence and care when executing assigned tasks.
