Basics of translation (with particular reference to business language issues) ERASMUS>BUTRA
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with translation studies terminology and theory (including business English and management language), practice practical translation based on an analysis and interpretations of source texts (including business English and management vocabulary) as well as to develop critical thinking regarding the information presented in the source text and its practical application.
The student knows and understands practical applications of the translation studies theory, in particular in the field of business.
The student suggests translations based on analyses and interpretations of selected source text fragments.
The students critically evaluates the information presented in the source text and its practical application.
