The curriculum with the description of the learning outcomes and the plan of study for the field of study: cosmetology, were approved by a Resolution No. XI/56/17 of the Senate of Stanisław Staszic University of Applied Sciences in Piła (Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa im. St. Staszica w Pile) on the adoption of the curriculum for the first-cycle Cosmetology programme with a practical profile on 22 June 2017. In terms of knowledge: K_W01 He/she understands the functioning of the human body and genetic mechanisms of inheritance. K_W02 He/she knows the effect of physical environmental factors on a living organism. K_W03 He/she knows chemical properties, reactivity, origin and cosmetic application of selected elements, inorganic and organic compounds. K_W04 He/she knows the structure, activity and biological role of proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, hormones and vitamins. K_W05 He/she knows the principles of water activity as a solvent and methods of water processing and determining and changing the pH of the environment. K_W06 He/she knows selected active substances used in cosmetology and their action, application and possible interactions with the environment of a cosmetic preparation. K_W07 He/she knows basic substances used in cosmetic preparations (bases, preservatives and auxiliary substances), their action and application. K_W08 He/she knows examples of formulas of various forms of cosmetics. K_W09 He/she has knowledge in the area of detailed microbiology. K_W10 He/she has basic pharmacological knowledge in the area of forms of drugs, routes of drug administration, fate of drug in the body, mechanism of drug action. The curriculum with the description of the learning outcomes and the plan of study for the field of study: cosmetology, were approved by a Resolution No. LI/233/20 of the Senate of Stanisław Staszic State University of Applied Sciences in Piła (Państwowa Uczelnia Stanisława Staszica w Pile) on the adoption of the curriculum for the first-cycle Cosmetology programme with a practical profile on 31 August 2020.

SKILLS – HE/SHE IS ABLE TO K_U01 He/she can correctly perform an appropriate cosmetic care, beauty and corrective treatment taking into consideration indications and contraindications – massage, manicure, pedicure, skin moisturising treatments, hair removal. K_U02 He/she can combine beauty treatments with care treatments. K_U03 He/she can correctly perform cosmetic treatments to prevent and reduce obesity and stretch marks. K_U04 He/she can perform basic make-up and make-up correcting cosmetic defects and perform a colour analysis appropriate for the colour type and the circumstances. K_U05 He/she can apply cosmetic methods of body regeneration. K_U06 He/she can perform basic laboratory activities and can use them when making cosmetic preparations. K_U07 He/she can use specialist equipment and devices when performing cosmetic treatments.
