Aims of the course:
1. to impart basic knowledge of the construction and functioning of reciprocating internal combustion engines.
2. knowledge of theoretical basis of combustion piston engines operation.
3. skill of analyzing processes in combustion piston engines.
4. to develop skills of analyzing processes taking place in internal combustion engines.
5. to develop skills of making analysis of processes taking place in internal combustion engines.
6. to develop the ability to make structural-functional analysis of internal combustion piston engines.
Learning outcomes:
1. knows the construction and functioning of spark ignition reciprocating internal combustion engines and compression ignition reciprocating internal combustion engines.
2. knows theoretical fundamentals of operation of spark ignition reciprocating internal combustion engines and compression ignition reciprocating internal combustion engines.
3. is able to analyze the processes occurring in spark ignition reciprocating internal combustion engines and compression ignition reciprocating internal combustion engines.
4. be able to perform a structural and functional analysis of a spark ignition reciprocating internal combustion engine and a compression ignition reciprocating internal combustion engine.
