Aims of the course:
1. to acquaint the student with problems concerning the most important definitions and issues concerning the management process in the area of road transport
2. to acquire the student's ability to identify, economically analyse and evaluate key factors determining effective actions in road transport
3. the student acquires the skill of calculating own costs of the transport company in the results of economic activity
4. developing in the student the sensitivity to the socio-economic problems connected with the realization of physical flows in the global and regional perspective
Learning outcomes:
1. understands and explains the definitions concerning the management process in the area of road transport.
2. has knowledge and is able to identify, economically analyse and evaluate the key factors determining effective road transport operations.
3. is able to make and calculate own costs of the transport company in the results of the company's economic activity
4. is able to evaluate and compare the design solutions of transport operation processes, taking into account the given utility and economic criteria.
5. is able to formulate economic issues occurring in transport systems.
6. is able to acquire information from literature, databases and other sources, is able to integrate acquired information, interpret it and draw conclusions as well as formulate and justify opinions.
7. correctly identifies and solves dilemmas related to the performance of the profession concerning road transport issues.
