Aims of the course:
1. to prepare students for practical measurement of measurands.
2. to acquaint students with the use of measuring equipment, methods of measurement, measurement techniques, organization of the workstation for measurement, KT at the workplace, calculation of measurement errors, application of bases, interchangeability of machine parts.
3. perfecting skills in performing measurements by different methods, analysis of obtained results, determining measurement errors.
4. improve group work and interpersonal communication skills.
Learning outcomes:
1. lists, defines and describes the application of technical metrology, the use of measuring tools, measurement methods, types of measurement errors, measurement techniques for machine parts, types of bases, interchangeability of parts.
2. knows and applies occupational health and safety regulations applicable to the use of measuring tools, taking measurements, workstation organization, tool maintenance and deconservation.
3. explains, selects and uses practical measurement tools, measurement methods for measuring external dimensions, internal dimensions, wedges and cones, mechanisms and other measured quantities.
4. evaluates, justifies, analyzes applied tools and methods for measuring measured quantities.
5. draws conclusions from measurement results.
