Technical mechanics II ERASMUS>TRA02
Aims of the course:
1. to acquire a structured body of knowledge, skills and competences in material point and rigid body dynamics
2. to master the methodology of solving dynamics problems using d'Alembert's principle
3. to develop skills in dynamic analysis of mechanical systems and vehicle motion
Learning outcomes:
1. knows Newton's principles of dynamics. Differential equations of motion of a material point and initial conditions
2. Knows the definition of center of mass, moment of inertia, and major axes of inertia. 3.
3. knows the definition of: mechanical work, kinetic energy, potential energy, momentum and rotation of a material body
4. knows the principle of work and energy, the principle of momentum and propulsion and d'Alambert's Zadada
5. be able to integrate differential equations of motion of a material point for simple cases: upward vertical projection without and with air resistance, oblique projection of a point
6. be able to determine the center of mass of planar and spatial solids and moments of inertia about axes
7. be able to calculate kinetic energy of a solid and the rotation of a solid
8. be able to apply principles of work and energy and principles of momentum and propulsion to solve solid dynamics problems
