Technical mechanics I ERASMUS>TRA01
Aims of the course:
1. to acquire by students a structured body of knowledge, skills and competences in statics of material systems, covering the problems of equilibrium of material systems
2. acquisition of a structured body of knowledge, skills and competence in kinematics of material points and rigid bodies, including the study of rectilinear and curvilinear motion, progressive, rotational, planar, complex, spherical and general motion
3. develop skills of kinematic analysis of mechanical systems using the means and tools of computer science
Learning outcomes:
1. knows the concepts of statics: force, force system, resultant of forces, active and passive forces, pair of forces, moment of force with respect to a point, moment of a pair of forces, moment of force with respect to an axis, principal moment, friction, equilibrium conditions of force systems.
2. student will be able to use his/her knowledge of force equilibrium conditions for the following force systems: convergent plane force, arbitrary plane force, convergent space force, parallel force system.
3. knows the concepts of point kinematics including: velocity and acceleration vectors, tangential and normal components of acceleration, straight-line motion
4. knows plane motion of a rigid body: relationship between velocity and acceleration of two different points of the body
5. be able to calculate the resultant of: congruent systems of forces, planar arbitrary systems of forces, parallel systems of forces
6. be able to solve reaction forces for the following systems of forces: planar convergent, planar arbitrary, spatial convergent, parallel systems of forces
7. can solve tasks concerning kinematics of a point of rectilinear and arbitrary spatial motion
8. be able to solve tasks involving plane motion of a solid including kinematic analysis of a crank-piston mechanism.
