The primary objective of the course is: Acquiring knowledge and skills in patient care in the Intensive Care Unit. Understanding the principles of care in the ICU. Providing comprehensive care for an unconscious patient. Understanding the principles of recognizing life-threatening conditions and observing the patient using both instrumental and non-instrumental methods. Acquiring skills in performing life-saving procedures. Acquiring skills in achieving the goals of care for a patient with respiratory failure or circulatory system in shock. Acquiring knowledge and skills in providing care for a patient undergoing artificial ventilation using a ventilator.
