Rescue medical procedures I ERASMUS>RAT13

Objective of the course:
1.Transfer of knowledge in the field of conduct in health and life threatening situations. Presentation of the latest guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
2. Developing the ability to perform medical rescue operations in cardiac arrest and life-threatening conditions.
3. Developing decision-making skills in difficult situations and team cooperation.

Term 2025/2026-L:

Lecture
1 Introduction to the essence of emergency medical procedures. Legal regulations regarding the performance of emergency medical procedures and health services other than emergency medical procedures that may be provided by a paramedic.
2 Basics of ECG examination.
3 Assessment of the patient's condition: general impression, vital signs. Assessment of state of consciousness using the GCS, AVPU, and other scales.
4 Monitoring respiratory function – assessment of breathing quality, bronchial toilet – airway suctioning.
5 Maintaining airway patency using instrumental methods.
6 Ventilation using a bag-valve device and a transport ventilator.
7 Non-invasive monitoring of the circulatory system. Principles of safe defibrillation.
8 Specifics of Injury Development in Road Accidents. Principles of Examination and Treatment of Accident Victims at the Scene, Preparation for Transport, and Monitoring During Transport to the Emergency Department
9 Advanced Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
10 Principles of Performing Intraosseous Access Using a Ready-Made Kit.
