Obstetrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing II ERASMUS>PIE31
The course covers disease entities in the field of gynaecology and obstetric conditions, as well as the tasks of a nurse caring for patients hospitalised in the obstetrics and gynaecology ward.
The scope and practical tasks include:
1. Learning about the specifics of work in the obstetrics and gynaecology ward.
2. Keeping medical records in both paper and electronic form.
3. Admitting a pregnant woman for physiological labour and performing an obstetric examination of the woman in labour.
4. Providing care to a woman in labour – monitoring the progress of each stage of labour and acting in emergency situations.
5. Procedures involving the newborn, including observation of the mother and newborn during the first days after birth.
6. Types and principles of ordering diagnostic tests and preparing patients for examinations.
7. The nurse’s role in pharmacotherapy.
8. Nursing care for patients with gynaecological diseases, including patients with reproductive organ cancer.
9. Patient education and care for women with pregnancy pathologies.
10. Summary of practical classes.
Location: Specialist Hospital in Piła
Organisational requirements: medical/protective clothing (top and trousers), clean medical or sports footwear, ID badge.
