Internal Diseases and Internal Medicine Nursing I – simulated exercises
The exercises aim to prepare students to care for patients with the most common internal diseases, with particular emphasis on treatment complications and the nurse’s role in diagnostics and therapy.
The scope and practical tasks include:
1. Complications of pharmacological, rehabilitative, dietary, and therapeutic–nursing treatments.
2. Preparing the patient for diagnostic tests and the nurse’s participation in invasive and non-invasive procedures.
3. Nursing diagnosis in patients with diabetes, the nurse’s role in insulin therapy and dietary management.
4. Care for patients with respiratory diseases – oxygen therapy, bronchial tree physiotherapy, administration of inhaled medications.
5. Medical documentation and maintaining observation charts.
Location: Medical Simulation Center ANS in Piła
Organisational requirements: medical clothing (top and trousers), clean medical or sports footwear, ID badge.
