The Professional Practice of Nursing from an International Perspective – exercises
The exercises prepare students to understand how the nursing profession functions within healthcare systems in different countries.
The scope and practical tasks include:
1. Analysis of nursing education models, professional standards, and scopes of competence in selected European and non-European countries.
2. Familiarisation with legal and ethical frameworks applicable in selected healthcare systems.
3. The role and priorities of the health policies of the World Health Organization and the European Commission.
4. Social, medical, and scientific areas of nursing practice in Europe and worldwide.
5. International and national nursing organisations and associations – their roles and responsibilities.
