Objectives and assumptions of the course:
1. Preparing the student to understand the research process and conduct scientific research in the field of nursing.
2. Shaping the attitude of reliable and responsible research.
3. Principles of making footnotes and references to scientific studies.
4. Determining the basic methodological assumptions in the concept of scientific research.
5. Principles of constructing research tools.

Learning outcomes
1. Physical examination - tasks and competences of a nurse.
2. Subjective research - interview collection rules.
3. Acquainting with the rules, methods, techniques and sequence conducting a physical examination, interpreting the results obtained research and documentation.
4. Physical examination of infants, children and adults.
5. Assessment of mental and general condition of skin, eyes, ears, mouth, throat, neck, chest, lungs, mammary glands, system cardiovascular, abdominal, male and female, peripheral circulatory system, musculo - skeletal, nervous system.
6. Peculiarities of conducting physical examination in children and infants.
7. Comprehensive patient health assessment.
8. Documenting and interpreting the results of a physical examination.
