Profile of studies: Theoretical
Aims of the course:
1. Basic concepts in toxicology.
2. Toxicokinetics.
3. Factors influencing the course of contamination.
4. Assessment of risk factors and symptoms related to poisoning medicinal substances and other xenobiotics.
5. General way preventive and therapeutic procedures in case of poisoning.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Knows basic concepts in the field of general toxicology and routes of intoxication.
2. Assesses risk factors for intoxication and assesses environmental threats and factors determining toxicity drugs and other xenobiotics.
3. Knows the basics of the kinetics of xenobiotics in the human body (adsorption, distribution, biotransformation, excretion).
4. Knows the principles of prevention aimed at preventing poisoning with drugs and factors harmful to human health and life.
