COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the course and confirmation of achieving the intended learning outcomes, the student:
1. Knows and understands the importance of intentional and appropriate use by students in grades 1–3 of standard computer applications for creating graphic illustrations, working with text, performing calculations, using online services, and acquiring, storing, and processing information.
2. Knows and understands the importance of creating problem situations in the students’ environment and in relation to other educational areas, which students model and solve by creating an algorithm, reproducing it outside the computer, and implementing it in a computer-based version.
3. Knows and understands the role of developing students’ programming skills using block-based visual programming environments.
4. Knows and understands the importance of integrating computer education with elements of other subjects and with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic activities in preschool and early primary education (grades 1–3).
5. Knows and understands the importance of promoting and shaping civic and prosocial attitudes in children and students, as well as responsibility in the digital media world.
6. Can introduce students in grades 1–3 to standard computer applications for creating graphic illustrations, working with text, performing calculations, using online services, and acquiring, storing, and processing information.
7. Can create a problem situation in which students in grades 1–3 model and solve a task by creating an algorithm, reproducing it outside the computer, and implementing it on a computer.
8. Can integrate computer science lessons with other school subjects.
9. Is ready to promote responsible behavior among children and students in the digital media world.

2. Safety during computer classes — rules, procedures, netiquette.
3. Modern teaching aids — types and possibilities for their use during computer lessons in early childhood education.
4. Teaching with the use of electronic media — methods, forms of work, teaching aids, and teacher preparation for computer lessons in early childhood education.
5. Selection of educational content for computer lessons appropriate to children's developmental abilities. Analysis of the core curriculum for general education in grades 1–3 of primary school with respect to computer classes.
