COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the course and after achieving the intended learning outcomes, the student:
1. Can explain the influence of emotions on human behavior; is able to recognize, identify, and interpret feelings and emotions in themselves and others, referring to patterns from various areas of pedagogical activity.
2. Can select appropriate emotional verbal and non-verbal messages for specific pedagogical situations; effectively controls their own emotions, influences the emotions of others, and reduces stress and negative emotions.
3. Identifies factors that support emotional regulation and is able to use them effectively to inspire and positively motivate themselves and others involved in pedagogical processes.
4. Is capable of independently analyzing the development of emotional self-awareness and supporting its development in themselves and others based on knowledge from pedagogy and related fields.
5. Is ready for independent and critical development of emotional intelligence, understands the need for ongoing emotional growth, and comprehends the emotional processes of other educational stakeholders.

Laboratory:
1. The essence of emotional intelligence. Influence of emotions on human activity. Informational role of emotions. Classification of emotions.
2. Verbal ways of expressing emotions: emotional charge in language – expressive vocabulary, methods of achieving verbal expression. Non-verbal ways of expressing emotions: body language, psychological and physiological correlates. Challenging emotions – fear, shame, stress.
3. Recognizing and identifying feelings and emotions in oneself and in others.
4. Self-confidence – positive/adequate self-esteem. Affirming self-confidence. Motivational function.
5. Emotional awareness of self and others – nobody is perfect.
