COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the course and confirmation of the intended learning outcomes, the student:
1. Knows and understands key concepts and phenomena from the field of living and non-living nature that occur in the child’s or pupil’s environment.
2. Can analyze and interpret commonly occurring natural phenomena.
3. Can recognize the interrelationships between the functioning of the natural and social environment.
4. Can identify the most common plant and animal species found in the child’s or pupil’s surroundings.
5. Can illustrate commonly encountered natural phenomena using simple experiments with everyday objects.
6. Is ready to deepen their understanding of how the natural world functions.
7. Is willing to promote the idea of caring for the natural environment.

1. Core curriculum in early childhood and preschool education in terms of nature-related content. Analysis of key concepts.
2. Methods, forms of work, and teaching aids used in nature education classes in preschool and early primary school.
3. Exploring the natural environment – phases and types of nature exploration.
4. Knowledge about plants and animals included in the core curriculum.
5. Ecological education of young children.
