Theoretical program of the subject mainly contains following issues: The most important features of science and scientific research in the context of social sciences. The origin of knowledge about human psychosocial development and its consequences for psycho-social development. The grading criteria of norms and dysfunctions in human-psychosocial development. The quantitative and socio-cultural model and theoretical concepts.
The subject of social pathology: main objectives and problems. Environmental influence on human psychosocial development in the context of conditions that either facilitate or hinder it. Psychologism, sociologism and socio-biologism as a paradigm for explaining the rules of human psychosocial development. The issue of developmental crises and challenging situations. Opportunities for overcoming difficulties and crises according to: 1) psychodynamic theory; 2) behavioral-cognitive theory; 3) existential theory. Transactional analysis in the identification and handling of crises and difficulties in human psycho-social development
Laboratory and projects forms of teaching in the subject mainly contains following issues: The analysis of prisoners' and inmates' documentation from resocialization facilities. The analysis is aimed at describing the prisoners' and inmates' dysfunctional behaviors: the use of appropriate terminology, the dynamics of changes that appears as a result of correctional work with them. Work with family and a person in crisis, in accordance with rules of social influence by R. Cialdini. Transactional analysis in the diagnosis and overcoming of family crises. Methods of collecting materials and data, necessary to plan help interventions: query, cooperation between institutions and exchange of information in the team. The diagnosis and projection of correctional interventions and help aimed at persons in difficulties, taking into account the cultural and environmental context. Communication scripts aimed at work with a socially awkward person based on F. Schulz von Thun's theory. Project of help activities based on rules of social influence. Individualized ethic-rules catalog of social help and care.
