SUBJECT LEARNING OUTCOMES.
After completing the course and confirming the achievement of the assumed learning outcomes, the student:
- Discusses the principles of occupational health and safety and ergonomics during micropigmentation.
- Discusses indications and contraindications for micropigmentation and microblading procedures.
- Is able to carry out a color analysis according to the skin tone, perform a preliminary drawing and permanent make-up on a practice skin pads.
- Is able to use specialized equipment and apparatus when performing micropigmentation.
- Can give advice on color and type of permanent make-up to enhance the client's appearance.
- Is able to cooperate with a medical practitioner and follow their recommendations for handling pathological skin and hair lesions.
- Is able to conduct a proper interview prior to performing a permanent make-up and medical micropigmentation.
- Provides the client with full mental and physical comfort during micropigmentation procedures.
- Is prepared to resolve ethical issues related to the profession of a micropigmentation artist and to identify priorities to achieve micropigmentation.
PROGRAM CONTENT RELATED TO LEARNING OUTCOMES (including self-study):
Laboratory:
- Organization of classes and tasks of the subject. Features and responsibilities of a micropigmentation artist. Principles of work safety and ergonomics. History of micropigmentation.
- Interview before the permanent make-up procedure. Preparation for the procedure, workstation, indications, contraindications, anesthetics for micropigmentation, tools, utensils, apparatus.
- Colorimetry (color analysis, mixing of pigments).
- Shape and correction of selected parts of the face.
- Micropigmentation methods. Microblading - techniques.
- Pre-drawing - exercises on templates and models.
- Practical classes on practice skin pads - eyebrows, eyelids - machine method and microblading.
- Practical classes on practice skin pads - mouth: machine method.
- Discussion of selected aspects of medical micropigmentation (alopecia, areola correction, harelip, stretch marks).
