Aims of the course:
The aim of the course is to develop students’ correct pronunciation with reference to Standard British English (Received Pronunciation)
KNOWLEDGE – A STUDENT KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS
1. the practical application of knowledge with reference to RP intonation, connected speech, rhythm and sounds
SKILLS – A STUDENT IS ABLE TO:
1.communicate
- properly applying the principles of RP intonation, rhythm and connected speech
- correctly producing the sounds of the accent in question
SOCIAL SKILLS
1.While communicating orally in English, the student makes a critical choice with regard to the ways of applying their knowledge of Standard British Pronuncaition
