Automation devices and components ERASMUS>ELE16
The course introduces fundamental concepts, components and devices used in contemporary industrial-automation systems. Students examine the purpose, operating principles and practical deployment of sensors, actuators, controllers and signal standards, building the theoretical background needed to describe and analyse simple control loops. Laboratory classes familiarise them with industrial regulators, process models and measurement equipment, while emphasising correct identification, documentation and servicing of automation hardware.
Intended learning outcomes:
- Student lists, defines and describes the basic elements and systems employed in industrial automation.
- Student understands and explains the operating principles of core automation elements and systems used in control objects.
- Student can represent elements and systems of industrial automation in the form of a block diagram.
- Student is able to clarify how fundamental automation elements and systems function within controlled processes.
