Limit states of structures ERASMUS>BUD23
Aims of the Course:
To introduce the fundamental concepts related to the limit states of engineering structures.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Physical foundations of plastic deformation.
2. Theory of ideal plasticity and yield criteria.
3. Theory of ultimate load capacity; system of equations for the limit analysis problem.
4. Theorems of limit analysis (upper and lower bound theorems).
5. Application of limit theorems to assess the ultimate load capacity of bar structures.
