Aims of the Course:
To understand the design principles and operational characteristics of basic construction machinery and equipment. To acquire the skills necessary for selecting appropriate machinery based on working conditions. To familiarize students with the construction, types, and applications of machinery used in building, road, and highway construction, as well as site preparation. To provide knowledge of machine design, accessories, performance, and operating technology.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Classification of construction machinery and equipment
2. Bulldozers, scrapers, graders, crushers, screens, conveyors
3. Machines and equipment for soil compaction, including automatic compaction control systems.
4. Machines and equipment for pile driving and ground improvement.
5. Machines and equipment for transporting building elements.
6. Special machines and equipment:
- machines for construction waste recycling
- machines for disposal of asbestos-cement products
- construction robots
7. Machines for processing reinforcing steel; scope and use of power tools in construction.
8. Technical operation of construction machinery
9. Maintenance and repair systems for construction equipment
